Starting this post off with a couple selfies just because i have tens of selfies from this look and no where to share them on lol.
This post is solely to show another way i style the currently trending denim on denim look. One way to own any look is to add something different and that something in this look is this bright red blazer. I have worn the denim on denim look a few times before on Instagram and the blog (check here). All i wanted in this look was just one bright color so i added a white tee and a pair of nude sandals to the mix.
This blazer is part of a two piece Calvin Klein suit i got from Burlington Coat Factory for $14.98, I almost fainted out of excitement when i saw that price tag. And I got these Jessica Simpson heels for a breathtaking price of $13.34 from Macy’s during a recent sales event. Even when i am not at a thrift store, God just blesses me with thrift store prices haha. For my jean pants choice, i decided to throw it back just a little with the wide legs. People are so used to skinny and boyfriend jeans these days that we have neglected this beautiful style. The only problem i had with it was that it covered half of my shoes lol.
The blazer was previously styled here
and the accompany pants here
White tee – Wetseal (they usually have 5 for $20 with extra 30-50% off)
Denim shirt – American rag (Macys – i have had it for almost 4 years now; premium quality)
Denim pants – American Eagle (as always lol)
Red blazer – Calvin Klein (Burlington)
Hello dear, happy weekend. I hope you have had a great week so far? Today I am sharing my first experience with contact lenses (thanks to etailpr
, Spooky Eyes
and some other influence in my life).
I choose this cool blue
color because blue is my favorite color and i have always thought blue eyes were pretty. So when i got the opportunity i went for the blue and I am glad i did. I love this color so much that i am thinking of getting colored prescription contacts (it has always been on my mind anyway). I decided to keep my makeup as natural as possible so as to have my eyes as the focus point on my face. Although i must say it looks like my contouring game is finally at 30%, and i will keep practicing haha.
Spooky Eyes has so many options of pretty colors and very interesting designs. I have my eyes on a few crazy ones that i plan to try someday. Check them out.
I am glad for the opportunity to work with Spooky eyes
and i am happy about the good and fun experience. Pictures of how this looks in daylight outside coming on the blog tomorrow.
My top picks from Spooky Eyes:
It’s finally spring time and my excitement knows no bonds so not even a snowy first day of a spring could damper my mood. So while everyone was celebrating the official start of spring in bright and beautiful colors on dry ground, we in New York were having a throwback moment hahaa. We had a beautiful snow fall. And I decided to celebrate in layers of borrowed oversize jacket over a cute metallic jacket, jeans and thigh boots. To pacify a part of my mind, i wore a pair of above the knee shorts instead of full on pants; it was supposed to be a warmer weather right?

It was just another winter night that involved going out and so required some dress up. My first choice of bottoms was a skirt but a few steps to the door and i realized what a mistake that was lol. I still wanted something free so i went for these palazzo style pants. It seemed like an odd pair with my button up white shirt but kind of worked, let me know if you agree or not.
Shooting this pictures was a challenge as i am yet to know how to work the light and camera settings for the dark but i was determined to get some shots no matter what and i did, Yayy!
